Need a canoe rack? (SOLD Nov. ‘23)

My first priority when my XLT arrived was a canoe rack. I went with a 69” Thule ProBar on the roof and a Thule TracRac TracOne in the rear of the bed. I did a similar arrangement. Since I already had the Yakima round hardware from previous vehicles I just bought the towers with he round pipe adapters. After a trip with rack arrangement as shown in my photo, I think I’ll try it with cab rack like your positioning. It worked fine but there would be less rear overhang. We have an 18’-6” canoe. We used the second roof rack with saddles for our kayaks.

May try to hike Old Speck mountain sometime this month and could meet at a trailhead. But it’s not close to anywhere

I was considering a bed rack for my canoes but after looking around I think I will go with the Yakima Baseline towers (pic) with the 180 clips for my Maverick and round bar adapters this spring. The bed rack for me will put the canoes too far back when towing my camper. This will allow me to also keep my existing cover on the bed to keep my gear out of sight.
