IMO, these tents are the worst combo of a ground tent and roof top tent. Lose all your cargo space, still have to take time to set it up and take it down.
If you can't stand sleeping "on the ground" - blow $3k on racks and a RTT. Or even more on a GFC setup.
If you can handle pitching a tent (giggidy), buy a nice ($300 or less) tent and have the freedom to put it wherever the best site is. Whether you can drive there or have to walk a bit. Then you can leave it setup when you want/need to drive somewhere when camping.
