No, I didn’t, just a special torture for you, lol. My current pain is the friends and family that reach out asking me about it, expecting that I’ve taken delivery, and the aghast looks when I recount this saga for them.
Just. Wow.Wolfe Jet: Received this email from Ford; did you get a similar one? Needless to say, I can't buy the truck sitting in my dealer's building because of the airbag recall and no one at Ford CRC, Ford chat, or my dealer can tell me when it can be sold!! SO THE MESSAGE IS RUBBING SALT IN A SENSITIVE WOUND!!

Wolf Jet: FYI. Since our truck was delivered to our dealer,I have had many discussions with Ford Chat online and via phone calls to Ford CRC. Those contacts got nowhere about when our trucks' side airbag recall will be resolved. So, a few days ago, I emailed several Ford executives using addresses found on MTC and other websites. Some addresses were erroneous, but apparently one found a home. Today I discussed our truck's situation with a lady, who said she is in Ford executive offices. She listened to my complains about the lack of timely information from Ford and noted my specific questions about the recall that is delaying sale of dozens, if not hundreds, of Mavericks sitting unsold on dealer's lots across the USA. I told her that an answer of 2023Q1 would not be meaningful. Though she could not answer my questions yet, she did promise to research answers and call me back. Maybe this phone call will shed very dim light from the end of this seemingly endless tunnel.
Wolfe Jet: I advised my dealer about results of today's phone call with the Ford executive offices lady. He said our recall parts are expected early next week. Maybe we will get our truck shortly before or after Thanksgiving. Hope the same for you.
Wolfe Jet: You are right; you in your wildest dreams could not make this up. We should write a book of our buying experience. I am awaiting word from my dealer about the airbags for our truck. He said last week that they should arrive early this week. Better luck to you!!

Wolfe Jet: We received 2 emails from our dealer today. The first was this morning and said our side airbags had arrived and would be installed as soon as possible. The second email arrived late today and said our truck is ready for delivery to us. Given a weather forecast of rain most of tomorrow and our need for orientation to the hybrid truck and to test drive it, we are planning to take delivery Thursday morning. How is it going for you?
