My 22 Hybrid Maverick developed a very big noise coming from transmission when it hit just around 1,9150 mile. I dropped it off at dealership on January 8th check up the noise as well as the airbag recall (received the notice of recall ready letter from Ford) and oil change. A month later, the hybrid technician specialist said the transmission is broken and ford suggested them to replace the whole unit, but they do not have part available right now. Since then, MY22 has been in dealership till today. I understand there is supply chain issue, but it has been in shop for more than 5 and half months and we still don't know when it will get fixed. The service manager offered rental car and sounds try his best. Without part, he could not do anything either.

Does anybody happen to know when Ford will send out any transmission for repair?

It is a nice truck and we really like it. It sucks when you pay for all the loans and issuance, you can not drive it at all. In addition to all the problems showing across our forum, its long term reliability is very questionable. I am seriously thinking of lemoning it now.

File a lemon claim. Ford needs to be held accountable for this crap.

Hopefully they’re making a bunch more transmissions for this- I had another loud sounding clatter sound from mine today when it switched to electric mode as I slowed into an a parking lot. A bit worried!

That really does suck big time! 5 and a half months (unbelievable). You certainly can do the Lemon law deal, but in the end you will end up without a Maverick. If they are providing a rental this entire time, you may just ride the storm out. It's hard to believe that Ford cannot ship a single transmission from Mexico and have it installed in your truck! I certainly hope that you get this resolved to your satisfaction asap! Best of luck.

If you're in SoCal, contact a Lemon Lawyer and see what your options are and see what is best for you. Over 5 months is WAAAY too long for any repair..

My truck had grinding noise once gas ICE kicked in, and it is not super loud in low rpm, but noticeable. Once rpm is up, it is loud enough to hear in cab. Service manager immediately said the transmission is broken, unfortunately, it took a month to see the hybrid transmission technician to confirm it. All in all, this hybrid system is very disappointing so far, not as reliable as those old day's of hybrid escape. I have a 09 hybrid AWD escape hitting 176k and stilling going strong.

Ecvt . Youtube hf35 Great video on it https://www.google.com/search?q=for...#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:5db8578d,vid:MZf_BUuW5Qg

I can't imagine not having a vehicle for 5 months. I hope a rental was supplied.
Luckily service manager is nice to offer me a rental. I had it for nearly 4 and half months, and had to return it due to some damages made by a hit and run in parking lot.
It sounds like the damper, but it does not sound terribly like "tractor mode". but it definitely became worse when rpm ramped up.

My '22 Lariat started making crazy loud sound when ICE kicked in. Dealer had it for 2 weeks and notified me today transmission would require replacement but parts on backorder. Hope it won't be 5 months. At least they provided a loaded F150 Platinum loaner, just miss the gas mileage of the Maverick.

Which brings up the question . If your vehicle is out waiting for parts Do they HAVE to provide a loaner? Or is at their discretion? I myself would be screwed if I lost my vehicle for weeks/ months.
