I had a 96 f150 extra cab long bed, my very 1st vehicle! Miss that truck, even with 45" tires she never had cv issues like these mavs with leveling kits, but maybe I got lucky.
F150 might not have had CV joints. Rear wheel drive is solid axel, so no CV joints. 4x4 front would have CV joints, but built much heavier.

I sat in a 25 Ranger when I picked up my Maverick. It's big but the interior felt more cramped.. Also not that great fuel economy. The only thing going for it is that it can tow 7,500lbs.

I think the icing on the cake will be with the next gen Maverick. I'm sure Ford will up the towing to 5,000lbs and 500lb hitch weight. That would match the SC.

4x4, body on frame, optional manual, optional 2.7, more bed space, and probably a few things that im missing. Might not be a better truck for everyone but it definitely has a lot more than just tow ratings

I agree the Ranger is much more than just tow ratings, sitting up high, ground clearance and the solid feel when driving.
