All,
I just spoke with Ford Chat and they updated me with info that there is a hauler company and convoy number for my Maverick to be shipped from the Chicago ramp to my dealership in Wisconsin. My dealership, (I feel), refuses to respond to me in any way. Over the last year of waiting, I sent like 5 or so emails and ended up leaving 2 voicemails for the sales manager with questions, all to never have a call/email back. I have recently spoke to my 4th sales associate on the phone (3 before were fired/quit) when my Maverick was shipped on a train I told him "when the vehicle comes in, I am 100% buying it, do not sell it to someone else!!!!"
But my Maverick has been sitting in Chicago for the past couple days and now looks like it should be delivered (according to the hauler company and their tracking system) by tomorrow to the dealership. (could change I am aware). But now knowing it is going to be delivered and very soon, I have a question to ask everyone.
I did a quick search here on MTC and didnt find anything too helpful, and I am sure there are posts on here but I want to ask to those who got theirs, what did you look at/look for/inspect on the truck before driving off with it?
I know the dealership does the final preparation and such, but what else would you say I look at/in/on before I leave with it? I dont mean like a huge checklist but what to look for to make sure my Maverick is good to go? IE scratches on rims from truck hauler, or dents/dings from transport, or anything else like that or any issues that may have been a trend during transport or shipment.
I hope that my ramblings made sense to all you. Pretty much what did you look at / for / did you find?
Thanks for all the help!
Dustin
