I think it would be perfect, its very sturdy material and it's does not seal it so allows for drainage. I have a locking hitch pin on it, just because I live/Work in Houston and don't want it stolen
You would need a need some sort of hitch pin as it will not stay on its own.

I have a worker that calls himself the cat daddy. Not because of the urban dictionary term which is true for him. But he thinks he’s an apex predator.
So he wears cat shirts. One day I come to my truck and he has a key chain on my truck that says I live my cat. He is my right hand man so I laughed and said well got me. I wanna load his car full of these things. Lol

Aw sorry to hear that I have been somewhat enjoying the freedom of no pets and not having to worry about anything other than myself. But now getting to a place where I am wanting to have a lil buddy again, but can't even remember what having a kitten is like. Think ill be in for a little bit of a shock haha
