3 days left on warranty. Deep sleep issues weekly since February. Dealer replaced battery for second time. Apparently the ABS and ACCM moduals never shut down when turning off the truck. Updates were performed. Battery replacement was Flood. Fingers crossed.

You are sure it was a SLA and not AGM?
Forget the work order where mistakes are made - you looked under the seat?
Because every post I've seen since last early fall has been AGM.
Which if you really did get a SLA - what is the manufacture date stamped on it - must be terrible? In which case I'd take it back and say that date is not acceptable off the shelf.

Also - if you had the ABS and ACCM battery drains when you turned truck off - you would NOT have made it since Feb to now on that battery. Not a chance.
They meant, hopefully, but check your work order - that they did the software updates for those potential battery drains.
Doesn't mean you couldn't get a different one - but at least that would take care of 2 known ones they think are worst offenders.

You followed the thread about how to get full charges out of your truck?
First post in it covers all The Tricks you can do. Unless you regularly put it on a charger anyway.

At least you got a battery. I went in for recalls a few weeks ago and told them about the deep sleep, no app, interior lights don't come on, auto start/stop doesn't work, so they said they'd look at it. Apparently, they charged it up, immediately tested it and said it's good. It's already back to the auto start/stop not working and will probably die on the coldest day of the coming Winter. My 3 years warranty was up 2 days ago. They know it's bad. Everyone knows about the batteries. Guess it's on me to go buy an AGM before Winter. 😬

Ya - the limits for warranty replacement are rather low.
40% SOC or better, holds a charge overnight to that same level or better.
But the battery saver stuff kicks in at 12.1 V, which is higher SOC% than that.
I think the AS/S is even higher V required though.

I did ask for a AGM battery if they did a replacement. They said they would check to see if they could do that. They put in that SGA stating that they could only replace what came with it. I said I would have payed the difference and the reply was we don't have any in stock. They definitely did updates on those moduals. I will go with the AGM next time. I will say most of my driving is short trips and I only have 22K in three years.

I also needed an AGM battery, because my Mav is a hybrid, every time I went into dealership, they said my original flood battery was fine, and I should drive more. I finally decided that after 4 years of ownership it was time for one anyway. Check Amazon for a H4 AGM battery on sale, and should end 90% of your problems.

That's why - no AGM in stock. Just making excuses.
Read any of the threads about warranty battery since last early fall - AGM replacements.
There is obviously NO rule about same battery required.
The way it's done even makes me think there is a TSB or SSM on it - because if Ford wasn't approving of them - the dealerships would be sucking up the cost difference.
And you know that ain't happening.

You really better go find the date code of manufacture stamped on that battery - I can't believe it's within a year.
Which means even with a charge up they hopefully did - it's going to suck already.

You can peruse any of the 5 Similar threads below for a start.

I'm not going to sweat it. Was told this one is warratied for a year. I'll get AGM next time. My wife's C-RV needs a battery every three years. She only drives around town. That battery is the size of lawn tractor one. BTW, I did point out that many are getting replaced by AGM and all new Mavericks come with them. He said my hands are tied.
