My 2024 Keypad alternate location... where's yours?

To me. I use the keypad a few times a day. It’s very important that it’s right at the drivers door.

The dealership says that the ford keypad is no longer compatible with the Maverick Lariat? I added the keypad when I ordered the truck, called the dealership and asked them to program but not install. Has anyone else been told the same about compatibility? Picking up the Mav tomorrow

NO, I was told not to order mine with the truck, but to order it from the dealer since they have to install it anyway. This way it will not hold up the process during the build. I have no information about it not being compatible.

So the keypad is wireless? The manual makes no mention of a battery for it.

I wanted it inside the fuel door, but it wouldn't fit on the Ecoboost.

Plan B was to put it on the black vinyl on the driver's door, but the door has so much curvature it wouldn't lay flat.

Plan C was to put it in the stock location above the door handle, but I thought it looked awful there. This battery powered stick-on version is way larger than the '22 and '23 hard wired versions.

Plan D was to stick it on a fixed section of my retractable tonneau. I'm pretty satisfied with this location. Easily reachable, but not too noticeable. If I didn't have the tonneau, I would have stuck it to the corner of the rear window glass, where it's blacked out on the inside.

Correct. And IIRC, it's the only state left that still has that law, now that Oregon recently began allowing self-service.

Happy that Costco..in Oregon, still has full service..OK, gas service..where I can sit in my Mav and get a fill up. They also have the serv your self lanes. Why would I want fill it myself? Retired.

Had those on my Ranger as the wired one was never offered as an option. The way to do it now is to order in smooth black not textured and paint it to match.

Hopefully my 24 Lariat gets to the dealer tomorrow in PA. I've been emailing the dealer requesting they program it but not stick it on. They refuse indicating it was listed as DIO on the DORA so they must install it. Was thinking of putting it vertically on the pillar in between the two doors as they were in the prior year even though the numbers would be sideways. Now I have no idea what to expect.

I just got mine installed yesterday. Perfectly discreet and still plenty accessible. Couldn't stand the look of this bubbly keypad on the side of the door or B post.
