Yep
When I ordered my Maverick I was told by my dealer I would have it by Feb/March. Ford customer service told me April. It’s now the middle of May and I still don’t have a build date. How is this not misrepresentation?

Neither Ford nor my dealer had any contact til March. It would be 1 thing to update as things changed, but to go completely dark is unacceptable.
Yep it sucks for certain. They either lied or were just wrong. Unfortunately… youre not alone… and theres nothing you can do. You can wait, or bail lol sorry friend

My dealer told me he still has customers who ordered Broncos TWO years ago. I don’t know how many Broncos were ordered or have been built, but I don’t think I have seen six on the roads. I do see quite a few Bronco Sports.
Ya specifically the hard tops are impossible to find. Were not doing toooo bad here with the Mavericks in comparison

Exactly. Could be a lot worse. This made to order game is new and ford is still figuring it out in the middle of a pandemic, worldwide shortages and now war. They say mine will be in production in the middle of june. I'd love to have had it already but it is what it is. Maybe by the time I'm ready to replace this one they will have it all settled down.

If this is unacceptable then don't accept it.
Cancel your order. Walk away.

Just don't think this is only happening to you.
Do not cancel or walk away! Take delivery and immediately sell it for 3k to 5k more than you paid. The dealer will be very happy if you cancel. Get paid for all the waiting.

I haven't heard a peep from my dealer since July when I ordered the truck. I knew it would be awhile and I'm not going to bother then asking the same question that I know they don't have the answer to. If you think this is so horrible why haven't you cancelled your order got moved on?

I don't think Ford has done a shit job communicating, I think you have done a shit job of being patient like 100% of the other people on this forum.
Are the GM of a Ford dealer? Sure appears to be.

I see these types of statements and it leaves me confused 😐. Why would you buy from dealerships with the most problems. You already determined it would be a bad situation before you even started it. Self-fulfilling prophecy
At the time of order things were pretty much a level playing field, including simple items such as filters. Most are getting better, with the exception as ford.

does anyone know if ford will honor price and apr at time of order or will it be dependent on whatever is going on when/if it arrives.

The dealer can pull the "Smart Vincent" which has the original price and APR. You made changes to your order after the price increases you could face increases. You can choose to take the original APR and promotions or current APR and promotions. So if Ford offers $1,000 off next month and your truck comes in you can't get that deal and the APR from when you ordered.

Am I the GM of a ford dealer? Nope, just someone who understands the industry and how things work. If I was a GM at a Ford store I don't think I would be still waiting on my July 2021 order lol

so you’re ok with being passed over week after week by ford. Nobody has received your exact build with an order date later then you?

At the end of the day Ford will likely lose customers because of their antics once again. You would of thought they would of learned from the bronco which was the same nightmare as this. How can they not get the material for spray in bed liner but Line-X can?

I have no idea if anyone else got the same build as me before me but I honestly don’t have time to waste obsessing over it. Who has the time to spend calling and complaining and researching and annoying the dealer over something they have zero control over. I’ll get my truck when I get it. I’m not walking everywhere until I get my truck, my life will not change in any drastic way when the truck gets here. I have one vehicle now and then I’ll have a different one. I didn’t order a one off Ferrari that is going to change my life, it’s a small truck that gets good gas mileage. Sure I’m excited to get it!! Am I going to waste time and energy being angry some guys in LA got a Maverick before me?? Nope. Not worth it.
