I don’t have my Maverick yet so I was wondering if the mirror cap is removable from the base of the mirror? I’m planning on sanding and painting them and it would be so much easier removed from the mirror base. I see they sell covers for the Bronco Sport that stick on and that may be another option.

You have to remove the mirror glass, then 4 screws, then 5 tabs...

Ok great. Just hope I can pop the mirror glass and not break the mirror. Thank you. Ever time I’ve tried to changed a mirror light on a F250 I haven’t broken a mirror yet so I hope my number isn’t up. 😂

1. Position the exterior mirror glass fully in and up.
2. Using a flat blade screwdriver to release the tabs starting at the lower outboard side of mirror
and continuing around the mirror until all the tabs are released.

From what I can tell the Bronco Sport and Maverick have the same mirrors. I’ve not taken them off and compared them. Just noticed it when a BS parked beside me.
