That is ridiculous. I've been out since 2012. Any good dealer would find a way to bypass that and just give it to you. And I am not one who goes around asking for Military discounts - but I've never NOT had one on a new vehicle. Spending $20k+ they can afford to prioritize a $500 discount for ALL veterans.

@Ford Motor Company You should really fix this.
You wait months and they give you nothing! 'Very' customer oriented!

The same replies come up each year. How many people know what the fine print at fordrecognizesu entails? How many people know that special regional incentives regardless of separation date exists for Veterans?

If you want the incentive do the homework and qualify or join the Farm Bureau, Mustang Club of America, work for a Ford partner and obtain two X plan PINs per year.

I work for a dealer, so I do know this is how it works!!

Maybe they don't put a start date on the mailing, because they are assuming the "start" date is when you receive the offer?

I'd be happy to look up program details for any of these private offers in SmartVincent. Just need the program number (which should be on the mailing somewhere!)

I found a college student discount offer on https://fordrecognizesu.com/ for which I am eligible, but I entered the zip for my school when I looked that up. Not sure why I thought that was the right info, but that's what I did.

Well, I got verified and can request my certificate, but it won't let me change the zip to my home address.

Do you think that is going to be a problem?

Program info: Program #38652: $750 Exclusive Cash Reward on a purchase or a $500 Exclusive Cash Reward on a lease for current college students and recent college graduates on eligible new 2022/2023/2024 model year Ford Bronco® Sport, EcoSport®, Escape®, Edge®, Mustang®, Ranger®, Maverick® or F-150®. Must take new retail delivery from an authorized Ford Dealer's stock by 1/2/24

Also, does that last sentence mean my Maverick won't qualify when it arrives? Because I ordered it?

Yes, that would be an issue. The certificate is linked to the address. So if the certificate ZIP doesn't match the "sold to" ZIP, that may be in issue. It may be possible for the dealer to get them to change something, or grant an "exception", but I'm not 100% sure how easy that would be.

If I were you, I'd try to "start over" with your correct address and see if it would allow you to register and get certificate that way.

I looked up info on the program. Do you have a 23 ordered? Or do are you going to order a 24.
Right now, 24 Maverick is not included (but that may be updated soon).
Typically how rebates like this work, is that you either need to order or purchase w/in the date range of the program. For this program, that is currently, Sales Date: Jan 04, 2023 - Jan 02, 2024.

I don't have an example to confirm for 100%, but rebates like this are usually protected if you order w/in that time period. But all 23 Mav orders were from before then, so this can't be protected on one of those. If you have a 23 Mav, you'll need to take delivery of it by 02 Jan 2024.

If you are planning on ordering a 24, you might as well try and get a certificate before you order. I suspect that they will add 24 Maverick to that rebate, and I do think that rebate would be "protected" if you have the certificate before you order the 24.

I applied for and received via email a $1,000 Military Exclusive Cash Reward from Ford which is good toward a 23MY Maverick. This email contained a certificate number with an end date of July 5, 2023. In the fine print on the email it says "Place a new retail order or take new retail delivery from a Ford Dealer’s stock by 7/5/23." This apparently was a special regional incentive that allows any veteran to qualify, not just those who were discharged within 24 months of separation. I was honorably discharged in 1983.

Since I placed my order in Sept 2022, can I assume this offer will still be valid assuming I take delivery this year?
They’ll honor it I did the same thing and got my $1,000 towards the purchase

Thanks for that insight!

I have a MY23 with a build date of Sep 04, so I know that it is included. I was able to start over (but not until I changed my browser), so now I do have my certificate.

My remaining concern is if the reference to "delivery from authorized dealer stock"

I hope a custom ordered vehicle is considered authorized dealer stock.

I did read through the dealer notes about Program #38652 , and I can't see anywhere where this rebate is restricted to "stock orders" only. So I think you will qualify!

Call Ford Marketing 1 800 334 4375 and ask to speak to someone about Military CTF.
I have an ongoing skirmish with Ford. They disallowing my CTF because my order was made back in 09/22. Nebulous fine print on offer makes no mention of a May 2023 order date to get discount. Take possession date of 7/5.
