What’s going on everyone? I fighuered I would make a thread about a few changes I did and will be doing to my 22 maverick I just got last month.

picked up some smartliner mats off ebay

Added some more tow hooks that I saw someone else do on the forum. With this little bed I probably won’t need them but just figured I would add them since they weren’t that much.

Next modified the blank factory cap to clean up the tow hitch area. It was pretty hard to get it installed after I cut everything out for it so I chewed up the corners by the hitch.

I hated how the door pillars were not glossy to match the rest of the truck and blend with the windows so I wrapped them in gloss black vinyl. Also tinted the front windows 20% and 50% on the windshield.

Got some glossy black and flat black FORD decals for the front and rear. I wrapped the whole emblem first in glossy black so you wouldn’t see the chrome behind the decal.
I only did the front so far but then it might go a different route and I don’t like the look.

Have you noticed a loss of reception with the short Stubby antenna? I tried it and it didn't work for me...got the 4" ordered now hoping that one will work better.

Nah I thought it might mess up the reception but haven’t noticed nothing.

Nice! Mind linking the vinyl you used? I'm almost surprised how similar it is to Shadow Black.

Also, what plastic did you use for the tow hitch fill? Looks to match 100%

For the cap it’s a factory part. Comes with the mavericks with out the tow package so it’s just a plain piece that goes across but I had to make the cutouts for the hitch and electrical socket. Here’s the link for that

To Merritt Island wildlife refuge near Titusville , FL . 132 miles round trip .32 mpg . Saw painted buntings ( visitors center ) , roseated spoon bills ( wildlife drive ) bald eagle and many other birds common to the area . also saw 4 manatee in the refuge . weather great . good day trip .

I took my old sub, amps and power wire out of my old f150 and plan on adding them in my maverick. Also picked up front components and rear speakers. I’m not looking to spent alot of money on this system so I just bought the lower end morel speakers that had good reviews. I have a friend of a friend that works at a stereo shop that I reached out to and said he could build me a fiberglass box. Most likely it won’t be until the spring because it way too cold out to take everything apart lol. Here’s a few pics.

I hear that. I have 2 kids playing multiple sports plus working 50 hours a week it’s almost impossible lol. Definitely looking forward to seeing yours done. At first I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get this 10” sub to work but after looking into it and having a fiberglass box built it shouldn’t be a problem.

Looking good! Where did you get that pack of additional bed tie-downs, please? Not a bad idea to throw a couple more in to fill up the pre-drilled holes. Thanks.
