I think there is a great market opportunity to release a skid plate panel with a cutout for the filter and drain plug location so you don't have to remove the entire panel. Just saying it would get a lot of buyers....

I installed the plate when I changed the oil at 5,000 miles. I just changed the oil again - at 10,000 miles. I see that Rival's description now includes recommendation to use a funnel when changing the oil to prevent spills. I used a small flexible funnel (about $1 at WalMart) during the last half of the oil flow and it worked fine.

I can't imagine that the engineers at Ford didn't think of this. I have a Tucson that had this "innovative" solution from the get go.
$350 is steep, granted it is made from Aluminum, but it doesn't really have to for regular use.

These are tempting—thanks for sharing them! One idea I’d love to see: interior door kick plates for the soft plastic panels. Our Frontier came with them as part of a package, and they’ve been great for protecting that area. Bonus points if someone can come up with something for the front outboard seat mounting posts—I’m always catching those with my boot.
