Wow that looks nice, I was actually considering something that protects the whole front end on my Maverick Tremor since I live in deer country but I was worried it would look dopey on a small truck like this, so I am leaning away from it.
you need something with more upper coverage, the deer that "shat" all over mine hit above where the bullbar would cover.

Yeah I agree but I don't want it to look dorky on this truck either.

"the top is 1/4” bolted to the inner bumper with M8 fasteners"

Can't really see clearly the top, did you have to cut a little slice out of the outer plastic bumper cover to fit the top 1/4" thick bracket before drilling & tapping into the top of the steel bumper?

Looks good, Id say it would handle its core job, protecting the front end from below 30mph parking lot fender benders, thats where most bodywork insurance claims apparently come from.

I jumped on it (~ 200 lbs) and no issues. The bottom brackets are support and 3/16”, the top is 1/4” bolted to the inner bumper with M8 fasteners. I don’t plan on ramming into things, but I am confident I could push another car without any bending. And if it does get bent at some point, then I’ll break out the welder and get some box tubing.

I would like a bullbar around the headlights to protect $2000 LED units from parking lot scrapes,

but to be perfectly honest I don't its possible to protect a Maverick front end from damage in impacting a 200 lb deer on a county highway, not without so much vehicle frame reinforcement you bypass any impact protection & save your vehicle while putting yourself in the hospital from whiplash. Even at 40-45mph you would want your crumple zones to protect you from a 200 lb deer.

I might want a bullbar to take all the force of the deer on the front & not slide up the hood into the windshield & me, but I sure as hell want the crumplezones to work & protect my spine from whiplash.

Indiana Ive seen whitetail does on the side of the road easily over 300 lbs, when it comes to deer I want my vehicle to absorb ALL the impact into the crumplezones,
you could probably buy 6+ Mavericks for the hospital & rehabilitation bill from the whiplash in an older heavier vehicle that survives the deer impact. I want every airbag triggered.

Maybe a bullbar mounted to the vehicle by oil-filled hydraulic impact cylinders could protect vehicle & you from a low speed impact with a whitetail but once youre at county highways speeds, something is getting totalled either the Maverick or your back.

you need something with more upper coverage, the deer that "shat" all over mine hit above where the bullbar would cover.

If you think these tiny 'bull bars' going to do anything about a deer you're nuts.
These are about looks and aren't anything close to a real bull bar.

People have to stop confusing these tiny things with these:

hardly anyway to get a real firm attachment on a "Maverick" consider this if you run into somebody and it can be proven your alterations contributed to the injury or death of the victim,a real shrewd lawyer could take you to the cleaners, these things are designed to be sort of pedestrain friendly at least the newer models anyway.just saying before you create a juggernaut.

if you hit a solid object at 50 mph you are going to be hurting,no the Toyo wont survive either, these are actually glorified brush guards only useful in low mass soft impacts and the occasional overrunning of brush and brairs, good place to mount a winch or towhooks( looks nifty as well-a "Ranch hand has heirloom quality)

Thank you and no, I did not have to cut the bumper or trim. The "L" bracket mounted to the face of the inner bumper which aligns nicely with the edge of the bumper cover. The two are basically on the same plane. I used M8 rivnuts in the hollow bumper. If I were to really want it to withstand pulling (i.e. winch mount bumper) I would either weld or through bolt the brackets. I deemed my application not needing this level of strength as the main force would be push vs. pull. I may tinker in the future and make a more resilient winch bumper, but for now, I am happy with this inexpensive solution.

I live in South Florida, the only thing we have to worry about hitting here are Bentley's and old people at Publix Supermarkets. Both of which I am confident the Maxzina bull bar can withstand ;)
