Reviving this old thread for anyone looking to do this mod.. The prior owner of my Mav installed the EGR matte inchannel visors. They create massive blind spots on the front driver and passenger windows, so I had to remove them. Can hardly see the passenger side rear view mirror they’re so bad.

im sure the smoked version are a little better as they should still be somewhat translucent, however the Matte ones are pure black, can’t see through them whatsoever.
I too bought the EGR channeled vent visors. Installed and removed at the first window. Wasn't for me without the transparency and satin finish def not see through. Thought about dremeling off the lower portion by the side view mirror, but not sure if it becomes a weak mounting point.

Replaced with the transparent version. Can see through better. Now live with that same area as a lesser pain. I like having the option to crack the winow slightly in the warmer days and not getting wet seasonly. Still thinking of dremeling off and have the masking on hand. Not sure if it will weaken that spot.

Post a photo, I've never seen clear vent visors especially for the Maverick.

I liked the look so as you can see I cut down the ERG channeled visors
