I used the Motorola M1 in my Nissan Frontier and transferred it to my Maverick. Also put one in my mom's Nissan Rogue Sport. Never have had any problems. The connection has been even more solid than various cables. I'm sure others are fine also. Just my 2 cents if it helps. I did the tailgate letters also which seems like a no brainer for this truck. I also would suggest buying nothing Maverick exclusive except the wireless adapter until you have delivery of the vehicle.

I second not to get cheapest tonneau out there. A relatively small increase in price can have huge dividends in quality. Plus the cheap tonneau covers look cheap, and as you said you want to show off the new truck. I got the Truxedo Pro X15 sitting in my living room waiting for my built but not shipped truck...

@bioned aren't you the soldier that was getting the runaround from your dealer? It looks like you two must have come to some agreement. I am happy for you. I would listen to the previous poster and pump the brakes on the larger items until you get the truck.

@Puckitup27 The maverick radio supports AA and Apple carplay but you need a usb cable to connect your phone to the radio.
Question- my current vehicle works wireless with Apple CarPlay, but also allows by wired connection. To use wired connection though, it has to be an official Apple Cord or else it will only charge the device. Is this true with the Maverick or will any cord work?

I personally don't use Car Play. I just use the bluetooth and play my Sirius XM on it. I have read from MTC folks that it seems to work with quite a few different cables though. If you want to be positive it works, I would get an apple cable.

As a general rule, pretty much any "Apple certified" cable will work. I tend to purchase Anker cables for everything, because I've never had one fail me, nor "wear out" over time. I've given away a whole bunch of them to friends and relatives when theirs failed...

This might be a silly question but I drive a 2008 Escape so give me a break for a minute.

I thought when a car has Android Auto/Apple Carplay that your phone just connects wirelessly through bluetooth to the radio and transmits music/gps etc without needing to buy or do anything else?

You need to still buy something for this to work?
You need it for wireless CarPlay/Android Auto. While your phone connects you are not going to get Maps and the other features of your iPhone/Android. Of course you can just connect via cable and bypass wireless altogether.
