Had my lettering added this past Saturday and finally got some good pictures of them on a clean tailgate. These obviously aren't from Ford and they fit in to the inset instead of the way Ford's seem to stick out a little. Personally, I like the thinner vinyl rather than the thicker ones from Ford, and these aren't going to cost $99-109.

I think they came out pretty solid and will have to add some to my wife's Cactus Gray hybrid whenever it comes in.

PS- this is about the closest I could find to the Area 51 color currently.

I love the lettering on the back of those tailgates . It makes the back of the Maverick look 100% better maybe Ford we'll see how much better the tailgates look and start adding them on the Mavericks ?

I got my set today. The material is different than normal vinyl in it’s a little more rigid. Definitely changes the look for the better.

I had no issues , I put them on dry. I did do the install slightly different than the instructions. They call to work a hobby knife around the decal to loosen it from the paper, which I did. But then they suggest to lift the decal off with the knife and position it on the gate. The problem is doing it that way there is nothing to provide support for or keep from seperating the long parts of some of the letters like the "E". What I did instead was to fold the paper backing against itself for 1/2" or so along the biggest edge of each letter. That way I could position each decal making sure it was straight and then once the edge was tacked down I rolled the paper out from underneath while rubbing the decal down as I went.

What color is it?

It's called Calvary Blue. It's actually a Toyota color but is pretty close to Area 51. And flows with the blue in the XLT interior very very well
