Maverick shakes when braking on occasion

Every once in a while my maverick will shake pretty bad when braking. Most of the time its perfectly smooth, then it shakes out of nowhere. The truck is less then a year old so its still under warranty. Just wanted to see if anyone had a similar experience before bringing it in. 2024 hyb

Are you certain it's coming from the braking system? There was an issue with some hybrids shuddering when transitioning off the engine under deceleration/braking. Happened with my 22 only a few times before it was cleared up with a software update. Can't recall which build dates were affected, it didn't seem to be very common and was difficult to replicate.

It could be CV axles too.

Had a similar thing happen on mine once, when coming to a stop. Like going over rumble strips. Everything has been fine since. Seems to have been exactly that, transition from engine to electric, or the other way. Bad CV axles I would think would cause it to happen much more often and would be more easily reproducible.

I'm not certain of where it's coming from, only that it happens when braking. I think we are talking about the same symptoms though, shuttering, like going off those rumble strips. I wonder if there will be a recall or software update. I'm getting a recall taken care of next week (frozen backup cam, though not currently effected), I'll ask the mobile tech about it.

Since yours is a 24 this TSB doesn't apply specifically, but it resolved the issue with my 22. Might be worth showing the tech., or to a service advisor if this is what you're experiencing.
