My dealer said that:

1. Scheduling starts this week.
2. VIN assignments start this week.
3. Manufacturing starts 8/16.
4. I might get punted because of the spray-in liner issue, although because I'm one of the first Canadian orders I might squeak in.

He also said that they get a confirmation report every Friday. It gets send out each Friday. That comes with a list of VINs.

My order is one of the first Canadian orders and they have a separate queue from US vehicles due to issues like DRL's.

What people might get is a VIN as confirmation without a scheduled date.

Okay, for the topic at hand.

It seemed pretty obvious on June 8th that delivery was going to be a roller coaster. Lots of people on here are getting riled up. Which is understandable.

I'm getting the XL with 2.0 and am actually hoping it's a couple months out. I'm thinking there might be some production line bugs to iron out.

I actually want the opposite…. I want to be in that first week of production. Not because I’ll get it faster (but that’s a BIG plus) but because the initial production run is inspected with a fine tooth comb in order to ensure they are ready for mass production. So I’d rather have a truck built in the first 3 weeks of production then a truck built in week 10 of production as that truck is not going to get as much inspection time as the earlier one.

You can ask your dealer to priority 99 it and hold the order until you're ready

So, back to the original info from Granger. I've gone through same issue when ordering another brand vehicle last year. At that time, I chose not to order restrained items that would hold up my order. Actually, their computer would not even allow you to enter any restrained items. I have an XLT with spray-in bed liner and the 2.5 hybrid ordered. Any ideas how long Ford may delay orders with these items? Hopefully not past end of this year.

So, it seems like if we chose hybrid + spray in, deleting the spray in won't necessarily even make much difference?

I'm hopeful that having ordered a first edition early on in the order window will warrant a high priority for spray in liner. If not I'll just patiently wait for my truck to be made.

Okay, so here's an update for everyone.

Looks like I was a little too optimistic on Retail orders, but we did receive 1 schedule of a 300A FWD 2.0L Maverick. It is scheduled to be buiilt the week of 8/23/21 as you can see here.

Ford Maverick Maverick scheduling commitment @ 4PM Eastern. Spray bedliner and 2.5L engine only constraints currently 2022 Ford Maverick Pickup Production Scheduled Scheduli

Also, probably more encouraging to most of you is that we have 10 retail orders that have had their priority code changed to "02". This means that someone at Ford has upgraded their priority code. At the dealership level we cannot change a priority code to anything in the single digits. While these aren't "scheduled", they will be among our first retail orders scheduled. I'm not sure on the exact timing.

Even better news for those worried about constraints is that out of our 10 scheduled 6 of them contain the 2.5 Hybrid. This was an option that was constrained from this weeks stock order run. Also encouraging is that the majority of our retail orders were also equipped with the spray in bedliner, which was constrained for our stock orders as well.

What I can take away from this is that while Ford may be refining their initial production process currently and limiting some options on our stock orders, at least for now, they plan on having these options available whenever the retail orders begin production.
