Ok, forget apples, that apparently went right over your head. Every single vehicle has items that are parts constrained. Thinking that because a vehicle on a lot is not yet sold, the seller is having a hard time selling it, is beyond asinine. By your logic, every single Maverick that is for sale at every single dealer across the country, is having a hard time being sold. And surely you know (ok probably not) that that is the exact opposite of reality because Mavericks are one of the fastest selling vehicles.

Sellers of all items budget a time frame they would like to sell the item in. If every listing by a realtor sells on day one, they are doing a bad job and should be pricing higher. If an auto dealer sells every car the day it comes in, they are doing a bad job and should raise their prices. The fact that a Maverick does not sell on day one (or day 10, 20, whatever), is in NO WAY any kind of indication that the seller is having trouble moving it.

Your premise was dumb, and everything you have said since has been worse.
Fine, then either you enjoy arguing with me, or you enjoy torturing yourself. Which is it?

I was hoping it would become a sporting exchange of ideas. But I am tired of shooting, and all the fish in the barrel look dead anyways. Let me know when you find that Mav with the automatic 10% markdown.
Ideas were exchanged, you just disagreed with them.

Have a safe flight.

This is a new 2023 lots of extras. Now the question is. Do you put your big boy pants on if you want a Maverick and try to talk them down. There are more and more lightly used mavericks around but if you buy one of them you won’t get the extended ford warranty. I have never purchased extended warranty before my 2017 Pacifica. Several weeks after the OEM warranty ended my power electric steering went out. Well my extended life time warranty was paid for with one repair (only one so far). With this experience I purchased the same type of policy for my 2022 maverick. I look at it as prepaid maintenance. When you look at the $5,000 mark up how much will a 2024 go up and the included features become al a carte which will drive the price up. if you have to wait to order a 2024 here are somethings to consider before walking away. Decreasing value of your trade, increased interest rate, price increase of the maverick from 2023 to 2024. Then you have to wait until sometime sept 2023 to who knows when it will be delivered. So to sum it up how much is a Mav in hand to a Mav in the bush. Myself I would recommend a buy if you can negotiate. This truck list at $37,530. The base price from 2022 to 2023 went up approx $2,100 dollars. The base price will probably increase about the same for 2024. Now you weigh your trade and interest and your not far from the $5,000 increase. Do the math and make your own decision. Remember start low you can always go up. I did Good Luck.

Great points, but futile. When someone has their mind made up, no changing. Times do change. When I was young, I walked away from a deal on a new Ford because the dealer would only come off the MSRP by 10%, and I would not pay it. That was then, this is now. One good thing. It is a free country and everyone has the freedom to buy or not to buy PERIOD.
The market dictates the price no one individual. Supply and demand. go to car max and look at the pricing. Lots of dead far.. over MSRP.
