Maverick Monday: How Production at Ford Plants Works

30 years ago? I'm only 62. I didn't retire at 32. I've got many friends and coworkers still working today. At assembly plants all over the country.

When this was brought up previously I thought you said you last worked in an assembly plant in the 90s.

My apologies, but my point stands that if you have such concern about production of the vehicle just tell your dealer you aren’t going to purchase the Maverick and go buy a vehicle from a manufacturer that you trust.

Mine was scheduled for 11-18, on Production 11-19, but wasn't built till 12-10.
Good News. it was shipped out the same day !!
should be at dealer by 12=`27.
don't trust Production dates.

Actual day of production and release to in transit are 2 different things. It probably was built on 11-19 and was released once the quality hold was lifted on 12-10.

I ordered my Maverick on Dec 14th 2024 ( got confirmation from ford of the order- Larita 4k hybrid awd with moon roof ) because I want to be part of job 2 to get the trailer and hitch assist feature, 4k tow and AWD. I am trading in my 2023 XLT lux pkg with moon roof for a fully loaded 2025 Larita in Azule Grey( my Xlt was area 51 I was tempted on the Eruption Green but I love area 51 to much). Here is my question since this built is most likely the top of the line trim and Ford has to produce several allocations for dealers and I am the first to order from my local dealer ( first 2025 Maverick Order - surprisingly no one ordered one there yet) what is the chance I may get it once deliveries are made because of the dealers allocation from ford ? I will gladly take the Dealer allocation and they can take my order when it comes in to replace theirs.

Just wishful thinking?

Allocations are needed and used on both retail and stock orders. If a dealer receives allocations and they have a retail order, the allocations will be used on the retail order before a stock order will be scheduled. Unless the retail order is a configuration that has constraints. If you ordered in December then the earliest your order could be scheduled for production is the month of February (as long as your dealer had available allocations for February production). You can purchase a stock Maverick if you would like, that is up to the dealer. An retail order is not a contract to purchase yet. You are ordering with the dealer and the order vehicle for you is put in by the dealer. Technically, the dealer ordered the vehicle from Ford. So the dealer owns that vehicle until you buy it.
