It would make more sense, the Ford unibody decedent . Or even the Ranger and the Ranger named F-100 or something. Going to take a wild guess, they might have thought that with it being built in Mexico, naming it Ranchero was a step too far.

I think they got the wrong demographic model for their research.

They missed by a mile in my case. I'm old, rural, conservative and grouchy
