Hot wheels collectors has anyone found the yellow Maverick. I have the blue one lol.

I have a yellow one. After months of looking, I finally found a Hot Wheels Maverick at a Publix grocery store a few weeks ago. And of course I found a yellow one, because my actual Maverick is Atlas Blue.

ive found 6 or so of the blue ones, no yellow ones, no matchbox ones either. This has got me started on trying to mod them to look like my own though.

I got a Matchbox one on eBay for way too much -like $20+. Oh well.
ETA The blue, presumably meant tobe Area 51, actually doesn't look to far off from Cactus Gray

J Car Diecast has them for $6 but they out of stock
Wheel Collectors LLC has them for $7 in stock right now.

Normally a moving parts car is $3 so not the worst markup.

They dont peel off.
if you use any kind of paint thinner, its taking off the paint too. ive had some luck with goo gone. also managed to remove some of it with a finger nail.

I think they're tampo printed.

A friend just bought a company that sprays on metalic sparkly paint, from powdered metal, iidc.

Maybe he could make it match the actual blue paint some afternoon when they're bored.

Now, why he bought the place is still something that I don't quite understand, but . . .

if you're saying he's doing vacuum metallization, he might already have a customer lol. Its near impossible to find companies who do that for individuals.

He has ovens (?) big enough to comfortably drive a truck into, but also has water bottles and such for demos.
