Too bad they don't come in Purple.

They would then be an

"All purpose purple people eater."

If anyone was wondering if you could haul a round bale of costal hay in a maverick. You definitely can. 😂

Just needed a few ratchet straps but made it home safely.

It'll pull that all day long if you keep it under 65 MPH.

Cool! Is the weight known?

Best use of the half tailgate I've seen in a while!!!
The Mav is also useful for hauling pine straw bales. I helped my BOL haul 10 (or was it 8) bales. Didn’t even have to tie them down.

so, how did you unload it? roll the 800# over the 400# tailgate?
does the 5 second rule apply?

That makes more sense. I just love to see the capacity of these little truck be tested.

How far are you going with something like this? I can imagine that the steering felt a little light, but it does not look overloaded at all.
I put a , per Bill of Lading, 900 pound skid of batteries in mine. Hauled it 30-35 miles at highway speeds(pushing 70) and it drove like a champ. Wasn't a long enough trip to tell if there was appreciable drop in mpg but thinking there probably was. A skid isn't as tall at that bale so didn't experience any top heavy lean in turns. Next month will be hauling firewood so I'll get to see how that works with the bed extender. For my purposes the Maverick is awesome, without the low mileage of my F150.

It handles it just fine. I’ve done it for years with my halfton and the tailgate cables look to be the same size and strength.

My hybrid has a towing capacity of 2k lbs but it think it can handle way more. Driving down the road I mean . Now Stopping is a little different. You can definitely tell the brakes are limited when towing trailers. As long as you balance out the load and keep around 2-300 lbs on the ball it should do fine .
