    Yes and no the bale was soft enough to fold over the it kept it from moving around. Also there was still about 2-3 inches on either side of the bed rails. So rolling it out was easy.

    Went about 30 miles down some rural roads. I kept it around 55 mph around turns felt a little top heavy.

    This is why i joined the club , I forgot all about hooking the tailgate cable around the latch . No I just ran a strap over the top down to the hitch. doing this snugged up the tailgate to the bale . The strap only touched the plastic cap on the tailgate.

    If anyone was wondering if you could haul a round bale of costal hay in a maverick. You definitely can. 😂 Just needed a few ratchet straps but made it home safely.
