Maverick goes dead

Is this correct? If you pull into your attached garage and leave your fob in the car (purse, console) and don't hit the stop button (in a hurry or preoccupied) and later that night the ICE turns on to charge the battery because of a fault causing the battery to slow drain, does everyone sleeping in the house die of carbon monoxide poisoning? Is that even possible?

You can set an automatic idle shutdown time of 30 minutes.

I guess some one forgot to tighten the negative side of the battery.

My Maverick has the same issue but it did not turn back on. Could not be jumpstarted. Sitting at the dealership 8+ weeks...

Could not start my maverick, it was completely dead. Waited for about 5 minutes and everything is fine . Does anyone had this happen to them? Is it a major issue?

Mine has 5,000 miles been at dealer 6x for power drain if left without starting between 18-24 hours so they continue their search for phantom drain . I bought a NOCO Boost plus which continues to start the truck right away but very frustrating.

Seems like this is starting to be an issue, mine was dead once so far but now I bought a battery tender and just ran a longer cable by the tow hook so I just plug it in when not driving. Battery tender has a smart charger so it never over charges. It sat for 3 days undriven when it was dead, I know it is common on Hondas I’ve installed 2 Tenders on those already . These new cars have so many electronics in them I don’t even know how they all work and I’m a Master Technician. We don’t pull fuses anymore to look for battery drain we open all doors let car sleep 1-2 hrs then use an infared gun to see what is hot then start diag from there.

This was like $80 bucks , I know it sucks when you have a new car but until they figure it out that’s pretty much the fix. I’m sure there will be some type of reflash to fix it eventually.
