Could not start my maverick, it was completely dead. Waited for about 5 minutes and everything is fine . Does anyone had this happen to them? Is it a major issue?

Assuming these Mavericks have them sounds like a fusible link not being properly fastened which would case an intermittent total loss of power. There is also a I think it it is the BMS sensor on one of the cables could have been not working correctly for the same reason.

Nope, never had this happen, nor have I read about it on the forum. Do you have a scanner to check for codes? Either way, probably a good idea to have it checked by the dealer.

I should have given more information on the truck it’s a XLT 2 liter all wheel drive.

Thanks! I appreciate everyone’s help. I don’t have a scanner. Can someone recommend a scan tool I should purchase. My budget is $50 - $200 .
I think that it would be a good investment.

i have a bluetooth scantool (ebay/amazon) connected to torquepro(app store) for android as my scan tool, together they're well under $100

I had a Ford Topaz once that had a loose ground wire that would do that. Would happen randomly and took me forever to find/sort it out. Actually that car hard terrible wiring all around, why did you make me remember that car OP? Hope you get it sorted!

The OP has a 2.0 EB. But.......As to a hybid.
Left it on as in running? If there is enough charge in the HVB it will sit silently until the HVB gets to a low enough charge for the ICE to start and replenish the HVB. Once replenished the ICE will shut down. It will do this ICE off ICE on cycle for hours and hours until the ICE runs out of gas which could be a really really long time.

Ok so this may be a dumb question, but I've read this in other posts about leaving the truck on. How can you do that if you take your key out? Or did you just leave the truck with it on?
I'm worried that I may do the same, but I usually always take my keys with me when I exit my vehicle.

I have never done it but exiting the car with the key still in it and running would do the trick. I do not know about the Lariat with the pushbutton start, never had one. It would suck but it wouldn't hurt the car. Hybrids are amazing.

I turned it off. Removed the key and locked the truck. I unlocked the truck with the key fob got in shut the door , put the key in the ignition as soon as I tried to start it it went dead (no more power)

Had my Mav (EB awd fx4) for about a month and started getting messages from ford app about going into sleep mode due to low battery. Paid no attention since it was a one month old car. Came out to a dead car one morning, it took a jump no problem, but I bought a portable jump pack just in case this would be a recurring issue and I knew dealers would be clueless. App read 12v the morning it didn’t start. Voltmeter read 6!! Has been 13v since. So hoping it was a one off fluke.
