A few days ago, another user posted that K&N were seeking a 2.0 for a cold air intake fitting. I dropped off the truck yesterday and they were going to be getting measurements so they can develop one. As a thank you, they’ve agreed to give me the first production model for free! It’ll be 6 months before they have one for production but I’m super excited!! I’ve had a K&N on my Tacoma for the last 15 years (best friend and I installed it ourselves) and was always happy with it.

I’m surprised they don’t just buy one and sell it afterwards.

you would think that you would want a copy of anything related to performance.

that way you could tweak/fine tune and keep testing it

Picked up my truck today and they determined the same intake they’re developing for the Bronco Sport will work for the Maverick. A few weeks and I’ll have it installed!

They’re still looking for a Hybrid in case anyone has one that would also want a cold air intake for it for free.

With the amount of vehicles they had there (Raptor, 4Runner, Bronco, Aston Martin) it’s just not feasible to have one on payroll.
