Over 9 months of waiting (I know, I know, ONLY 9 months!) but my Maverick was delivered yesterday, I went and did the paperwork today and she’s now in the driveway!

The hard rollup tonneau cover I bought back in April was installed while I was filling out paperwork. Installation was $72 and change, the cover was I think $1,147 and change.

After Price Protection, and A-Plan my out the door was: $35,874.92. MSRP: $39,910. No markups or dealer installed options. Liberty Ford Vermilion Ohio took care of me. Nothing shady, all upfront, and they didn’t beat me up on my trade in.

I financed it for 3 years, their credit check reported my having a 819 credit score, with over $6k net from my trade in plus $2,500 down my interest rate is 6.34%. Yikes. I plan on paying it off within a year if all goes well.

I ordered several accessories while I was there; tailgate assist, bed lighting (realized after I got home that there is already a light in the bed), brake light bar, door sill plates, and front console vault. I may cancel the bed lighting and I’m on the fence about the $400 brake light bar… seems overpriced even by Ford standards.

I purchased the Premium Maintenance package (prorated from my trade in), GAP insurance, and the TireCARE Plus Protection. I plan on picking up Ford Protect (extended warranty) later on.

Premium Maintenance Package after prorate: $1,892.96 with tax.
GAP Insurance: $950.
TireCARE Plus: $1,017.80 with tax.

I plan on getting Paint Protection Film, Ceramic Coating, and FluidFilm within a month. Once that’s done I’ll install all the plastic, stick-on, chrome details I’ve ordered. Tailgate letters, hood letters, mirror caps, door handles, and tailgate handle.

It’s going to take some getting used to, but I’m already loving her!

Awesome! Congrats! Great choice in color and those wheels are by far my favorite.

That "extended warranty" or whatever the maitenence package thing though... Oof... They got you good there.

The premium maintenance package is 6 years/75k miles. Covers oil changes, air filters, wiper blades, brake pads/rotors, tire rotations, full inspection… feel like I’m forgetting something. Full synthetic oil. Them doing my oil changes in the winter makes it worth it to me. 🤣😅🥶

Edit: Oh! Transmission fluid change and all that that entails when you get there.

You can have the work done at any Ford dealership in the US, Canada, or Mexico.

Congratulations on a beautiful truck. I have a Lariat Hybrid in
Alto Blue fully loaded and love it. I have the same hard rollup cover, but it does not have Ford logo in it. BAK Revolver X4. I assume they make it for Ford and put the logo in. I am sure you will enjoy it like we all do.

I have a 22 Lariat in that color. Add the window rain guards. It gives the truck a chopped look. Also put the black neoprene covers on the front seats for comfort.

Congrats.

My status should be changing from production to built anytime now. Do you know how long it took to be delivered from when it was built? I'm in Michigan and am trying to guestimate delivery so I can plan a road trip. My initial shot in the dark guess is 5 weeks.

The gap insurance seems unnecessary in your situation. You've got so much equity with the great purchase price and the trade and the down payment and short term. I'd consider canceling that if its an option.

I was thinking about it last night myself, I can cancel at any time, but I think I’ll keep it for the first 6 months at least. I’d be pretty upset if something happens within that short window if I canceled now. More upset that is lol.

Here are my notes that I kept along the way, well, the significant dates anyways.

9/17/22 ordered

5/16/23 scheduled build

5/17/23 in production

5/18/23 built

5/24/23 shipped

6/20/23 delivered

6/22/23-6/00/23 add ons deliver/install

6/21/23 took delivery

It was shipped by rail, expect 4-5 weeks. The day before it was delivered they updated the tracking to say estimated delivery 6/27/23-7/10/23. I was at the dealership the day before that and their paperwork said 6/22/23 and another sheet said 6/21/23. Which both differed from the tracking site…

Since I’m researching covers for my 23 that open easier than the pull down gizmo I have I looked at installation manuals for each of the Ford covers. I discovered the brand name is REV which turns out to be the commercial version from BAK so I guess I’ll order the trifold from Ford with my reward points.

Have you compared the pricing? When I got my BAK, it was almost $200 less than the one from Ford. Might have changed, but it was that way back in November of last year.

I thought they were pretty close when I looked and with Fordpass points it should help. I’m supposed to also get a better discount after my airbag fiasco.
