A lot of car media comments were made about the Honda Ridgeline when it was restyled in reference to the the “break” between the cab and bed, even though it is a unit body. I think Ford stylists were clever in that the back door cut line accomplishes the same visual cab/bed break.

Yes, according to Car & Driver, the first generation Ridgeline was criticized bc there was no separation between the cab and the bed, which prompted them to put the fake one on the second generation Ridgeline. It’s just an indentation and a vinyl gasket..
