Do they have auto braking?
I've had my collision alert come up and didnt notice it brake for me.

AEB is standard equipment on every US-spec Maverick ever sold.
AEB activation is not guaranteed. It cannot and will not avoid every crash. When it does activate, it is not guaranteed to completely stop the vehicle, rather it at least attempts to slow to reduce crash severity. It is intentionally programmed to activate only when a crash is perceived to be imminent, so as to avoid erroneous activations, which could be unsafe.

The alert comes on when the truck believes you MAY hit something, the auto braking is when it REALLY REALLY thinks you're going to hit something.
My wife and I have both gotten an alert (mine was during a bit of 'aggressive' driving) but no auto-braking yet....

When it actually engaged auto braking was it a collision? Would it have been a collision without it?
Yes, it does work. Someone in Walmart Parking lot pulled out in front and I was looking at something. The thing did its job and I avoided a collision.

It works best at slower speeds. The crash test people have results on some testing. They were just following way to close. In heavy traffic in video hard not too. Good move by Mav drive as he would of took it in the nose and rear.

As I posted on another thread.
I have experienced the Collision Avoidance.
To this day, I still can't remember who braked first - ME or my Mav..

My AEB activated when someone ran a stop sign in front of me. I already had my foot on the brake, the AEB pressed harder and locked up the rear wheels. I also had some big warning flash on my dashboard when some clown almost nailed me from behind while he was changing lanes.
