Today is somewhat of an anniversary for me as I officially ordered my Lariat Lux Maverick one year ago today! But I don't feel much like celebrating. According to Ford, my truck was built in March of 2022, arrived in Portland, OR by rail in early April of 2022, and there is has sat for over 4 months, awaiting transportation the last 425 miles to my dealership. Every few of weeks I contact Ford's "Maverick Team" via their customer service phone number, or my dealership, but either way I get the standard run-around... "It should be delivered next week". I've received this same message by email or by phone 17 times since April. Today I learned Ford has such a thing as a V.D.I.R. (Vehicle Distribution Investigation Review) that can be initiated by Ford Logistics. Has anyone dealt with this VDIR? Did it help locate your new Ford vehicle or explain logically why it has not been delivered?
