People here were driving like that last Thursday when I was out, had to stand on the brakes 4 times when eejuts tried to turn into me. Wasn't speeding around either.... that's not even counting the dozen times I lifted off or changed lanes because I thought someone was gonna do something a bit dumb and most of them did.

In what will hopefully be the last time I have to deal with a personal injury case myself, the kid hit my client while client was turning left. Yet he claimed that client had jumped right, and got a cousin who was following to say the same thing!

So I sent a preservation notice to the other insurance, noting the black box in particular--which as a side effect, meant that they couldn't work on the vehicle.

They accepted liability rather quickly . . . (and it turned out to be a minimum policy, which won't even put a dent in his permanent injuries. It's barely larger than the easily provable lost income. )

People doing all kinds of stupid things while operating a vehicle is exactly why I have become a pokey driver in my old age. You want to drive stupid, have at it. I’ll be back here.
