Mangoal Dash Cam question

So I finally got the Mangoal dash cam installed and working. What I'm trying to figure out is every once in a while, the cam dings and a voice says something. I've had 4 people listen to it, and no one can figure out what the voice is saying. We think it's at least 2 different messages. The instructions are no help -- it says go to settings on the app to turn the voice on and off. That's fine, I was just trying to figure out what it's telling me.

I have that dashcam as well. I believe it says “Start Recording”.

I can't understand it either. I think it says it is saving a recording when I hit a bump in the road. The camera thinks it is an accident so it saves the recording.

I have only ever heard "Start Recording" several seconds after key to ACC. I have had what I consider several panic stops or brake engagements and have never particularly noticed anything from the Mangoal.
Of the 3 or 4 panic brake engagements since I installed the cam, I have only noticed one flash on the instrument panel but I was focused on the immediate problems.

From what you described, those random chimes don't sound like the normal voice prompts. Normally, you should only hear "Start Recording" when the camera powers on and "Stop Recording" when it shuts down. If you're hearing random beeps or it seems to be restarting, it's usually either the SD card or the power supply.

I'd start by formatting the SD card in the app. A corrupted card can cause some pretty strange behavior.
If that doesn't help, try powering the camera on without the SD card installed. If the beeps stop, the SD card is probably the issue. If it still happens without a card, we'll want to take a closer look at the hardware or firmware.
