I ordered my hybrid back in June and have not received any email or communication from Ford about it. Since June (in 6 months) I have made 2 minor changes to my order, color, and taking off the spray bed liner because the marketing team told me that was holding up my build, I've since been told it was not. I assumed the changes would not affect my order status because I have not been told it would. I count on my sales rep to keep me informed about things like that... I emailed my dealer 4 days ago and asked to make one more change since I still have no build date and again because I have not been told it would affect my Priority Code. I got no response from them. I reached out a 2nd and 3rd time and the Sales Guy then made the change and after doing so texted this:

"Each time you change your order, your Maverick gets reshuffled in the scheduling process. Ford needs to plan and allocate parts to build your Maverick. When you change the order, it goes back into the cue to get scheduled, thereby losing your current spot. Leave your order alone and it will get built quicker. ...You moved from a 02 to a 10."

Can anyone confirm or deny this? Had I been told this before he made the change, I would have said "never mind." Had I been told this from the beginning, I would have the same build as I started with.

I'm a real estate agent. If a client told me they wanted to put an offer on a house and I knew of something that would hold up closing, I would 100% tell them before I had them sign contracts to make sure they were still interested. If I didn't, I would not be doing my job.

Rant over.

If it was Priority 2 then it was in review consideration to possibly get scheduled. To change the order in that state the dealership would have needed to contact the regional scheduler to have it changed back to 10-19 to modify the order. Also the marketing team was correct; spray-in bedliner especially outside of the Luxury Package is a low percentage of scheduling.

But there's no scheduling this week in any case so it's no guarantee it might not go back to being a Priority 2 next week presuming scheduling on the 13th. Although that in part depends on what your recent change actually was.

I ordered in June and have been priority 2 for months. Meaningless

I would research before making any changes. Someone on here said they made a change and all the other options that were already on the Mav went up to the NEW prices Ford announced last month.

They mentioned their dealer couldnt back it out, so they paid hundreds more for options they already had. Not sure of it got resolved, but I would look into it.

Edit to link discussing price increases when changing options

True, that's why I said 'consideration to possibly get scheduled'
What I meant was priority 2 is meaningless. People should make changes if they want because toggling back and forth probably won’t hurt.
