I store my hybrid Maverick for about 6 months at a time with a smart charger on the 12V battery. What effect does this long storage period have on the high voltage battery?

Get an OBD2 scanner and grab the charge % of the HVB. It's a fairly common PID.I wouldn't expect it to have a negative effect on the 12V battery. I'm more concerned about the discharge and possible effect on the life of the High Voltage Battery.
I can't somehow read the HVB charge % without a scanner?Get an OBD2 scanner and grab the charge % of the HVB. It's a fairly common PID.
I would aim for around 65%-70% percent when parking it, and then also place a genius 5 or similar tender on the 12v. That should allow for slow voltage drop while not getting low enough to damage the battery itself.
Lock the doors with the key outside the vehicle.
