Anyone know how to, or have taken the tie downs out. Not the rail, just the sliding blocks?

Remove the rail, removed the end cap, slide the tie down out...

Taking the tie downs on your totaled Maverick that belongs to your insurance company? ;)

Not my insurance. The insurance of the guy that hit me. Thanks to you for being an accessory to this heinous act. BTW I'll probably take the floor mats and owner's manual also.

Question: If I had bought Weather Tech floor mats and threw my old ones away, then months later totaled the vehicle, would those have to go to the insurance company?

I’d be careful messaging with insurance companies.

No, in my personal opinion (not a lawyer or insurance professional). They were not OEM equipment, so were not included in the insurance company's valuation. So I would feel free to remove any items you added to the truck, which are not semi-permanently attached.

If you received any type of detailed estimate from them, you can see if any of your personal items were included in the valuation.

I'd remove every single thing that could be resold and wouldn't feel one bit guilty about it.

We had a car totalled a couple years ago, the insurance rep paid us current value for all add ons and stuff we couldn't get to in the trunk. May want to talk to the rep and see what they will let you do. You can always argue the value of the vehicle, we did and received alot more.
