How much tighter is the lobo steering rack? I want to auto cross my truck. Can anyone help me with my question? In the future, I might think about ordering a lobo steering rack.

Thank you, helps me out a lotThe steering rack in the Ford Maverick Lobo is significantly quicker than the standard Maverick, featuring a steering ratio of 14.2:1
By comparison, the standard 2024 Maverick has a ratio of 18.1:1 (though some specific trims vary slightly). Mathematically, this makes the Lobo rack roughly 21.5% faster or "tighter."
Ford essentially built the Lobo using a "best of" list from their performance and international catalogs:The numbers I saw were far less different. At the time I ran the numbers and it's only ~5% quicker.
Did You mean Motortrend?Car and Driver winter 2026 issue with the maverick as truck of the year lists the regular mav with a 16.2 ratio rack, and the lobo with a 15.3 ratio. So almost 6% quicker. I knew I saw it somewhere......
Dangit. Yes, MT, not C&D. I had a pile of magazines out at the time. I'll edit the postDid You mean Motortrend?
