I need a loading ramp for my power washer and moving stuff with a dolly. I won't be using it for anything super heavy, so just needs to support the equipment and maybe my weight (110 lbs.), so maybe 200 lbs. max. I'm thinking of making one with one of these kits and some 2 x 8's , but if there's a folding ramp for under $80, I'd do that.

BTW, my truck is a hybrid and doesn't have a hitch, so if I buy a ramp, what would I attach the securing straps to??? I looked underneath and can't see anything to attach the straps. Pictures please!
Thank for any ideas, suggestions, and advice!

I used 2x8s and a kit like the one in your photo. The 8' board length was a good angle for when I loaded a heavy snowblower. I weigh a little more than you do... you might grab a 2x8 at Home Depot to see if it's too heavy for you. A folding metal ramp might be easier if you can find one in your budget.

When I load heavy stuff (we moved an elliptical for example) I'm either standing on the ground pushing or in the bed pulling... I don't think I've ever stood on a ramp. I didn't use straps (don't tell anyone) but I made sure the bottom of the ramps were on a solid surface and relied on the rubber pads at the ends of the ramps resting on the tailgate.

also it helps a lot if you can back up to a bit of an incline (lawn, etc.) then the angle of the ramps aren't as steep

I'm thinking just hook the straps up top at the fenders where the tail gate closes.
