I used matte black to go along with my other XL trim.

Going to black out the Ford Ovals too when it warms up.

I'm going with matte black lettering for my FE when I get it as well (already bought lettering). Have you found good blacked out emblems yet?

I have seen some plastic dip their emblems…

I plan on making my own emblem cover ups with vinyl. I have my own sign business and have plenty of options. Was going to print them but I just might cover them with the matte black vinyl.

I'm going to be waiting awhile until I get delivery on my F-050 Light Duty Truck.
In the mean time, I'm beginning to order a few things in preparation of my new truck. For those who have put letter inlays in the Maverick tailgate stamp, what looks best? I realize it's a matter of taste, but I have ordered Carbonized Grey and was wondering whether Flat or Gloss would look best????
Bumpers, trim seemed to be a matte black, so I was thinking Matte Finish. But with that gloss grey metallic, gloss would look good too.
No truck to sample it on?
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

My vote is for matte black to go with trim. I’ll be using matte when I get my hot pepper red ride.

Honestly I am still trying to settle in on
A wax product I like and haven’t used one on my maverick yet. I have one of those car wash subscriptions that does a spray wax. I go a few times a week and I always hand dry with a microfiber towel

I used a ceramic spray on mine. Love it. Nothing sticks to the paint. Even water spots come off with a micro towel or (gasp!) my thumb. I took the recommendation of a pal who has sampled a bunch of different ones. This is the one he recommended.

I vote for the matte black on the grey. Subtle, not glaring. Goes well with the grey. I opted for contrast and put chrome on my Aliso Blue.
