Leer Topper and DIY platform installed

Got Leer topper and been getting compliments! Got it in matte black which looks great. Also finished a Diy platform inside so I can carry more. Next plan is a rack on topper!
Enjoying my new ride for 3000 miles now

I’m curious, how’d you get this? Leer we sit? Going to a showroom? And also how long did it take to get to you??

Are you saying you know a Leer dealer? If so, I am sure they can order it. Took 6 weeks to build.

You will find the industry uses fiberglass. But I saw a homemade aluminum top on this club

With the black bed rails, I think this color works quite nicely and doesn't deform the truck as much as matching paint. Would like to see a black cap on a lighter colored truck as well to confirm.

Leer is giving me a headache about matte black... they say I can only get shiny black. Is there a trick to ordering in matte?

IMO - this is still the best-looking topper by far. The ones with the tiny side windows inside the frame just do not look right.

how would you access the rear sliding window? Seems the topper front window is removable. Would think it would be hard to take the topper off and on...don't see anywhere it weights...might you know that info? thank you

Yes, the front window of the topper is removable for accessing the sliding window on the back of the cab. The topper is held on with 4 clamps that can be relatively easily removed, and then disconnect the wiring harness. It weighs around 250 lbs IIRC so not something you'd want to take off and on very often.
