It is not necessarily about the lumens. The fact that LEDs reach full brightness much, much more quickly than incandescent/halogens has been known for decades... with meaningful safety implications.afaik, LED headlights and bulb replacements offer zero advantage, and cause other problems that need fixing in order for them to function.
Unless a vehicle is equipped with LEDs from the factory, it's kind of a fool's errand or enthusiast project to try to add them.
LED, HID, etc. do not give more or better lumens (if legal limits are not exceeded). And often they are of that annoying, nay, VIOLENT blue spectrum that blinds everyone else on the road, especially if the legal lumen limit is exceeded. Makes me wish I had a FGM 148 mounted on top sometimes.
