If you don’t mind DIY, led strips make for a good light source. Took me about 30 min to install and cost about $30 on Amazon.

Does anyone know if I can pigtail an outdoor rated led strip to that single box lighting wiring that comes in the luxury package? It seems to have a timer and is integrated into the rest of the truck system, so it would be cool to just extend a few more watts out of it in an LED strip. Nothing crazy.

My reason is that with my tonneau cover I can’t see much of anything past the front foot or so with just the box light and a board in that front 2x slot. An led strip just above the sliding anchor bar like @ToothGrinder above would probably do wonders.

I don’t mind cutting and soldering some pigtail wiring if it’s just accessory LED stuff. I guess I should just crack open the box and see what the wiring looks like.

I found this thread on the DIY section and pretty much copied this user's method of installing the lights. It was pretty straightforward forward and the kit made it easy to do.
