If you want to find out if you need an update Ford has a site that will let you know by entering the VIN

You can download the latest update from the site to your computer put it on a USB flash drive and update if you don't have Internet access.

That's the way I have to update my Fusion since it doesn't have connect.

A little late but in case anyone else is searching......

Fwiw with updates turned on mine is still same as it was when delivered to dealer in June (now January).

Usually the only time the version number changes on the About Sync screen is when there is an APIM update.
