Do we have a vendor or ANYONE that can build a larger DP?

I'm trying to get this guy to sell me one that he created BUT he is out of the country... waiting to hear back from him

Are you trying to kill the bottom end torque or nah?

Lol.....ok
I'm mean I'm just curious because it's pretty rare that a stock downpipe is going to choke up the system and going too big removes back pressure that helps the bottom end. I can't see the 2.0 pushing enough to warrant it. But I could be wrong.

It won't.;). Hp/tq is a delicate balance... its area under the curve that matters most. This will be a benefit.

If the 1.5 in the Fiesta ST benefits from a larger downpipe im sure the Maverick 2.0 would as well.

My other 2.0T car benefited greatly from a larger downpipe
It also shoots flames at times lol
Is that substantiated with Dynos or track slips?

While this could be different, it was notorious with Diesels that over doing downpipes relived back pressure and dropped trq but also lowered EGTs and gave some top end. Obviously that application(Towing) you want that bottom but I could see some gain for top end.

I guess I'm just asking what the end game is entailing?

butt dyno only
Sounds amazing with its catless 3” full exhaust
And of course the previously mentioned flames

Every turbo vehicle I have ever owned saw gains with a downpipe, whether it was a larger catted version or catless. As a matter of fact a downpipe is one of the first few mods recommended by most performance peps.

Grand National
Eagle Talon TSI AWD
HHR SS
Buick Regal turbo (newer generation)
Custom project turbocharged 96 Eagle Summit Wagon awd
Twin turbo Mustang

every single one of them gained between 10-15 whp and a faster spool with a better free flowing downpipe.

Ahhh man you had one too!? Miss my Eagle Talon TSI awd. I had a 1992... loved the fixed headlights over the previous pop up headlights. That 4G63 was crazy responsive to almost any thing you did to it. :)

Mine was a 1990 Talon TSI AWD, you can see it in this pic in front of my Grand National.
