So I guess all the other car manufacturers are wasting their money.
They need to compete in a saturated market. The Maverick has no peer, and is sold out probably well into next year (same reason we don't see any Santa Cruz marketing...not necessarily that I would call it a peer). The next phase of marketing doesn't cost a penny either - it will be fueled by owners telling their friends and the truck being seen out on the road.

The other companies are not in the same situation I don't think. Ford has two vehicles and a third on the way that will all have enough orders to keep them busy for the forseeable future. They are going to sell everything they can make- why advertise?
The same reasoning can be made for rebates.

Build to order and in very short order many of the smaller dealers will have to combine brands or close. There is no service required on a electric vehicles.

They all have product that they can/need to sell. As others have mentioned, Ford can't keep up with current demand. Why would they create a larger problem for themselves by adding more sales and more upset customers who would have to wait over a year for their truck?
Two years for Bronco…..

We are probably part of the advertising campaign. It's called astroturfing. Forums like these are/were likely part of the marketing and research strategy.
Going to ask my dealer about the forum member discount.

How come there is no advertising on TV, magazines or newspaper on the Maverick?
Why advertise? You can't cook dinner when the house is burned down and the kitchen is gone. Really? That's all we need is daily reminders that the Maverick we ordered and want yesterday is still being taunted as something you can buy. Sorry, but no advertising is good for now.

" Tesla spent zero dollars on ads in the past few years. Tesla won't even spend a single dollar on paid advertising on Facebook, YouTube Instagram, and Twitter. ... Loyal customers have become a free advertising force, with fans spreading their love for Tesla EVs through word-of-mouth testimonials and even online videos." From HERE.

The times, they are a changing. Sellers market, plus the Amazon click & wait retail strategy taking hold. Some dealerships are delivering right to customers.
