How come there is no advertising on TV, magazines or newspaper on the Maverick?

Why advertise when you're already sold out for months? Maybe we'll see ads later on next year.

Wasted money - they can’t fulfill the orders they currently have. Plus they got lots of free advertising with all the reviews that were released this week on YouTube and Articles.

We are probably part of the advertising campaign. It's called astroturfing. Forums like these are/were likely part of the marketing and research strategy.

So I guess all the other car manufacturers are wasting their money.
Show me another car manufacturer that's advertising an unobtainable vehicle and I'll show you a non-direct sale reason for their campaign.

For example, Ford's F-150 Lightning advertisements aren't just to show the truck, but to show the direction the company is going. Those ads operate more as brand advertisement than product advertisement. The same for the Santa Cruz in many respects.

The other companies are not in the same situation I don't think. Ford has two vehicles and a third on the way that will all have enough orders to keep them busy for the forseeable future. They are going to sell everything they can make- why advertise?

They all have product that they can/need to sell. As others have mentioned, Ford can't keep up with current demand. Why would they create a larger problem for themselves by adding more sales and more upset customers who would have to wait over a year for their truck?

I think once they get a little more inventory out, you’ll start to see some adds.

Not if they have the ability to timely build vehicles for new customers generated by the adds. Right now Ford can't do it.

I think Ford will have something big for Super Bowl. Maybe mav commercials before that… but who really knows? We’re all just guessing.

99% of the people I talk to have no idea of the Maverick truck. I agree that a Super Bowl ad would change that very quickly. we certainly need something fun to talk about in these times!!

There are very few Retail trucks available nearly all being delivered are ordered models For customers. If you create a demand that you can not deliver more people will be disappointed.

You got a lot of answers which while logical, were nothing more than guesses/opinions. Fact-we do not know.
There's a lot of things about the Maverick that are hard to guess. Why can't they publish EPA numbers for the Hybrid? How much weight is on each metric that determines allocations? Will someone under 6' 7" be allowed near a Maverick?

But simplistic marketing decisions? One may as well say claims that the sky will be blue tomorrow are only opinions. Shits not complicated, man.
