Recently got my GWR Front Leveling Springs and Rear Sway Bar installed, so decided to upsize the dinky 17" OEM XL wheels/tires. :)

Opted for Konig's 18x8.5 Hypergrams in Matte Grey (+43mm Offset) and a set of Crossmax CHTS-1s in P235/65R18.

While the OD increased from ≈ 28.5" to 30", I actually shaved almost 6 lbs. of unsprung weight at each corner. 😁 I ran Konigs on my Miata for the longest time and love the combination of strength and light weight. I'll post my OEM Wheels/Tires up for sale shortly (including the spare), in case anyone is interested. 👍

I'm on my 3rd set of this exact tire. Big fan of them!

Lloyd, I referenced one of your earlier posts before pulling the trigger on this exact size/tire. Thanks for the input and assistance!

Oh yes! Very nice! Congrates! I enjoy all of the aftermarket improvements people do to their Mavericks! Make it your own :)

Konig lists them as 17.41 lbs./each. A marked savings over the 27.2 lbs./each weight of the OEM 17" steel wheels. 🙂

Looks good. I just went with Blizzacks (WS90) 225/65R117H mounted on the OEM steel wheels for this winter. Mounted the OEM tires (Continentals I think) on a new set of rims (Black wheel and spoke) for next spring. (I really don't like the look of the steel wheels.) Will ride those OEM all seasons down until they need replacement then look at something else. Used to run Michelin Defenders on my Tacoma, They always seemed great. (Mostly highway driving)

Thanks, brother! And yes, those Michelin Defenders are a GREAT tire. I used to work Automotive/Tire Service Management at both Costco and Firestone and those were always a top seller for SUVs/Trucks.
