Knocking in brakes

I just took delivery of my Maverick XLT hybrid last Friday. I’ve done a variety of driving since, both city and highway. When I’m in the city, though, or just rolling to a stop and riding the brakes a bit, I’ll feel and hear a knock though my brake pedal just before I come to a stop. It’s not every time I stop. Has anyone else experienced this? And if so, what was it diagnosed as?

My 2.0 had a loud clunk immediately after washing. I hit the brakes 3 times in my driveway and heard/felt a big clunk then drove about a block and after drying out it went away.
